Oils and Butters

The most important aspect of any soap or lotion is the combination of oils and butters. We use blends which maximize the moisturizing properties of each soap and lotion. The perfect soap lather depends upon the balanced combination of oils and butters. Commonly used oils include Coconut, Olive, Sweet Almond, Rice Bran, Avocado, Sunflower, Grapeseed and Palm. Some of the commonly used butters include Shea, Cocoa, and Avocado. We are always testing new and luxurious combinations. Review our product’s descriptions for each unique blend of oils and butters.

Why Lard?

Decorative soap elements such as the animals, stars, clouds and other whimsical shapes are created from ‘soap dough.’ Soap dough is super soft soap capable of being molded and sculpted by hand. Lard is a key ingredient giving most soap doughs its malleable properties!
